The majority party wants to impose yet another tax increase: Rep. Jim Walsh says ‘no’

Rep. Jim Walsh, R-Aberdeen, discusses a new proposition to impose taxes on the sale of gold and silver coins. The 19th District lawmaker notes that taxing monetary metals is often a tax on people's retirement nest egg—similar to attempts to tax capital gains income or a tax on the sale of stocks and bonds. Walsh says “no” to more taxes and plans to fight the proposal if it comes to the House floor for debate.
