Rep. Jim Walsh speaks in opposition of Puget Sound natural gas bill, ESHB 1589

In a late-night floor debate, Rep. Jim Walsh, R-Aberdeen, vehemently opposed a proposal that would compel utility customers in the Puget Sound region to shoulder hefty expenses for converting from natural gas to electricity. House Democrats passed ESHB 1589, following the approval of a Senate amendment, with a final vote count of 50-45.
